Oven Baked Amritsari Fish Fries Recipe

Oven Baked Amritsari Fish Fries is a delicious Punjabi recipe which is easy-to-make and can win anyone’s heart. Ideal for occasions like birthdays, dates and road trips, this fish recipe is made with fish fillets and a melange of Indian spices.

  • 600 gm cut into strips fish fillets
  • 1/4 teaspoon thymol seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1/4 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1Preheat the oven to 220 degrees C. Rinse the fish and pat dry. Apply 1 tsp red chili powder, lime juice, ginger garlic paste and marinate for 30 mins.
  • Step 2Take a shallow bowl, add gram flour, water, red chilli powder and salt. Make a smooth batter of thick consistency.
  • Step 3Grease a cookie sheet. Dip fish fillets in gram flour mixture and then into bread crumbs. Make sure both sides are coated.
